10,000x Faster: Why Photonic Chips Outperform Traditional Semiconductors
As we all know, the focus today is on AI computing technology, and at the core of AI lies the chip. Undoubtedly, TSMC is a leading supplier, and their plan for this year is to produce 2 nm electronic chips. However, it’s worth noting that even with 2 nm electronic chips, the narrowest DS channel is 2 nm, but the entire transistor remains as large as 40+ nm, with copper wiring still requiring over 10 nm.
